About Me
Hello everyone. I'm originally from Iowa, born and raised. But, I've been all around the nation living in Chicago, New York City, and currently in Seattle, Washington. By day, you can see me in the O.R as a Cardiac Perfusionist. But, during my free-time I enjoy and have a passion for taking landscapes. Whether it's in the Pacific Northwest or abroad, I appreciate the vast and wild form of what landscapes have to offer. I noticed this when I was taking a darkroom course at The University of Iowa. The darkroom was a sanctuary where I could just relax and focus on the photograph, step-by-step in its purest form. I also like to cook and photograph food in the kitchen. I think food photography is therapeutic because of the creativity and art form that can develop when staging food and beverages for a shoot. For me, taking photographs is not just an hobby, it's an appreciation that connects you with nature in a holistic manner, allowing you to dive deep into the meaning of balance, light, and composition.
